However, another vehicle contributes to this success; it is the Ford Super Duty, the most powerful truck of the F series. Ford has just unveiled the new 2023 model. Redesigned inside and out, each Super Duty is built with new levels of capability, technology and cloud-based services.
A variety of engines
You don't get to be that popular by not meeting the specific needs of our consumers. It's a theory that Ford has long mastered and one that has allowed it to deliver better pickup trucks than ever year after year.
This new edition of the Ford Super Duty is no exception, offering a range of more efficient engines. A new 6.8-litre V8 gasoline engine is standard, making it easier to start on steep grades and get on the highway. A 7.3-litre V8 engine is also on the menu. It improves fuel efficiency and torque through better air intake and tuning.
Also not to be overlooked is the 6.7-litre Power Stroke V8 diesel engine that can run at longer intervals on steep grades. Finally, a new high-performance 6.7-litre Power Stroke V8 diesel engine with a unique turbocharger, improved exhaust manifolds and a unique tune-up delivers best-in-class power and torque.
Every Super Duty model is equipped with a Ford-designed and built 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission, and the chassis cab comes standard with a PTO to allow for additional equipment, such as platform lifts. All-wheel drive is now standard on XLT and above.
Safety and towing
The new Ford Super Duty isn't just powerful. It's also safe for all occupants, thanks to a long list of onboard technologies that are standard or optional, depending on the model.
Some of these are also designed to make the job easier for those who need the Super Duty. The best example is the onboard scale with the intelligent hitch that calculates the weight of the load in real-time and provides information on weight distribution. Ideal for knowing exactly where the limits of our truck are.
A trailer theft alert is also offered, which sends a notification via the FordPass app in case someone tries to disconnect the trailer when the truck is locked.
Not to mention the 360-degree camera system that provides an aerial view of the trailer to help maneuver in tight spaces, the blind spot information system for fifth wheels and goosenecks, and the industry-first available tailgate down camera and reverse detection with tailgate down system.
Finally, the trailer navigation system calculates safe routes based on specified trailer size and weight to avoid problems with low bridges and tight turns.
Passengers will be protected by Ford's onboard systems, which combine the key driver-assist features found on Ford trucks.
The Ford Super Duty is not for everyone. Towing enthusiasts, trailer owners and workers will appreciate the refinement of this new truck, which is more modern than ever.
